Great value lunch with super service. The Irish waiter was super helpful to all of the customers with limited French .. like me.

Simply amazing, given I don't talk a word of French this restaurant couldn't have been more accommodating. The food is fabulous, the beer is incredible and the bread, well that's just next level.

The owner came out to offer us an English menu, welcomed us and we had the best food! After eating here, I don't want to eat English food again! 😂 They also entertained my poor attempt at speaking French but were lovely all the same - definitely recommend

One of our favourites in Place Carnot, Excellent food, great cassoulet and huge salads. Fantastic service from friendly and efficient staff.

Good food , excellent location , friendly staff and great atmosphere.. we got a reasonable deal with entree + main but you have other choices with dessert etc or choose from menu.. we liked it ( 2 people )

Really nice place, the food is really good. We did their menu option which is really great value for money, there are few options but I feel like they are just enough (If you want more options there are but these aren't in the menu and are more expensive). The service was amazing…Plus d’avis

The service was amazing, we were attended by a young man who was the nicest, and recommended us their specialty dessert. Even though we can understand french (more or less, and only my father and I) he made an effort to talk to us in spanish, which we really appreciated. I'd definitely recommend it, if we ever visit again I'm sure we'll be back.- Service

The lacquered pork was so tender and delicious with superb service from the young lady. Will definitely return and recommend.
I can’t believe some of the negative reviews of this place. I had the cassoulet de chef and my girlfriend had the veggie lasagna. Both were delicious and arrived hot, served by an extremely friendly young lady. I did get a little bit of an eye roll from the bartender when I didn’t accept his first offer seat and instead wanted to sit outside, but really, that just added to the atmosphere. I’d definitely go back.

Really great cassoulet and stracciatella salad. I kept repeating how tasty it was all the day.

Only had a couple of pints and a bowl of chips, but the beer was an ice cold Heineken and the chips were the 10/10 home made, got a big old bowl, partner had a rose and of course it was lovely. Simple review but they’re the staples you need to know as there are a lot of places on this square and some aren’t so good so hopefully these words will point you in the right direction and away from disappointment

We arrived late to the city (21.45) only to find the restaurants near our apartment closed or closing. This was the only place, despite the hour, willing to serve us food. The waiter was very welcoming and seated the 4 of us. The service was excellent, no problems that our Frenc…Plus d’avis

This was the only place, despite the hour, willing to serve us food. The waiter was very welcoming and seated the 4 of us. The service was excellent, no problems that our French was very poor menus were available in English. The food was really great. One Duck, Salmon, lamb shank and Italian burger. The waiter chose our wine a lovely Chardonnay. We were the last to leave my at least 60 mins but were put under no pressure. The place was clean and relaxed.Lovely staff. Fabulous food. The house red is to die for !

A delicious meal at La Cantine du St. Roch! We had the hearty and authentic Langedoc dish cassoulet- the duck was perfectly cooked, the sausage was excellent, and the whole dish flavorful throughout. We also had the vegetable lasagne-- a unique house take, was different but nice sauce with swiss cheese, wine, very nice. Great atmosphere, friendly casual service. Not too fancy, but good food.
